About Elmbridge Dementia ServicesThis dedicated specialist service for people living with dementia provides engaging activities and social interaction to enhance their wellbeing, encourage their independence and retain their life skills. From each initial assessment we find out about the person’s life history, emotional and physical needs, mobility, interests and hobbies, worries or anxieties and important people in their lives. This allows us to tailor our social groups to meet individual needs with a range of activities and reminiscence sessions, but most importantly we provide a chance for members to meet new friends and socialise in a safe and relaxed environment. If members want to just soak up the atmosphere or read the paper while their carer has a break, they are welcome to do so.
