Men in Mind provides a range of training and skills activities to engage and equip men in East Sussex to have supportive conversations about mental health and wellbeing with their peers. This project has been set up to reduce stigma around men’s mental health by giving men the skills and confidence to talk about mental health and suicide and to know how to support themselves and others. The project focuses on engaging public facing businesses and spaces where men work and visit such as barbers, tattoo studios, sports venues, construction, bus companies, refuse collection, fire services etc. and design bespoke training programmes tailored to their needs. The project also aims to build a peer support network for men who engage with training to access on an ongoing basis.
