The overall purpose of Hastings Voluntary Action is to help people in the Hastings area by promoting the principle and practice of voluntary action by both individuals and organised groups, and by supporting the development of local initiatives to meet community needs. We support new charities and community groups to get off the ground, and provide both ad hoc and intensive ongoing support to existing charities and groups. We also manage our own projects which aim to improve life for communities and residents in Hastings & St Leonards, as well as providing training course, networking opportunities, funding advice, affordable room hire services, accounting services and a lot more.
