The Mayfield Festival of Music and the Arts is a biennial event held in even numbered years in the beautiful and historic village of Mayfield. The primary focus of the festival is classical music performed to a high standard and it regularly attracts musicians of international renown. The festival also incorporates the Tunbridge Wells International Music Competition, which typically runs for 5 days during the middle of the festival period and features both eminent judges and more than 100 highly talented young musicians from around the world. However, other musical genres and art forms are also catered for and the Mayfield Festival will often feature theatrical performances, folk music, jazz and film.
